Boogiman and Glass Slippers

This situation just came up in our game in the Legends set.

One character lost to the Boogie Man while wearing the Glass Slippers. Since the slippers are immune to losing footgear, and the level loss only affects characters without footgear, the player argued that they should take no bad stuff. We ruled no and sent her down a level, but wanted official clarification in case it happens again.
