Interesting survey results!

Surprising to see such a strong showing by the Golem!

I have to admit, I know nothing about this unit, so i guess I need to get up to speed.

Are there any original source docs for the Golem unit?

I know there is at least one pertinent forum thread, but I like to start at the beginning, when possible.

Any other suggested reading would be most appreciated.

There's nothing out there that's 100% canon; most of what we know about it came from GURPS Ogre. It was an Israeli cybertank, kind of a cross between a III, a IV, and a Drone or Infantry carrier [sources over the years have listed one or the other].

The Golem was first mentioned in an old Space Gamer article, if I remember correctly. This was expanded upon in GURPS Ogre, where it's noted as having 1 MB, 3 SB, 10 AP, 3 missile racks, and 9 internal missiles, plus storage space for drones. In one of the prototype Assault Packs - which are non-canon unless and until published - the drone space is changed to carrying infantry.
