Default Lego Car Wars?

Being a former Lego employee, I always used Lego 'mechs for my Battletech experiences. Anybody ever work out a Lego to Car Wars conversion. I was sooo waiting for that vehicle design guide. *sniff*

I think it has to happen. Just not sure where I put together the time to make it happen.

I also am madly awaiting the Vehicle Creation Rules. AAAHHH!!!! But maybe for other reasons than most. Hehe

Lego Car Wars would be awwwwesome. I'm in, and I have a bucket o' Legos. Though, I'm a little short on wheels and such. I have a bunch of Star Wars, Ninja and Medieval Legos. Not too many race car wheels in those sets.

I'm assuming you know about Brikwars? If not, it may be a big help in getting some base line for the project.

Ooh, thanks. That looks cool, I'll have to check it out in more detail later.

Never worked out a conversion, but did play with Legos once a long time ago. It seemed like a natural thing to do. When debris was called for, you took off a small piece and when obstacles were called for you took off a bigger piece.

We really didn't think about any actual rules. It was all just silliness with a couple of $2 Lego thinkies that were by the checkout. (And there was no beer involved!)

Sorry so slow to respond. Yeah, brikwars is a fun ruleset, but I find it a little silly for my taste. :)

I hadn't really thought about using LEGOs to play Car Wars, but it makes perfect sense, and they have all the MiniFigs you'd need (Cops, scruffy looking types, etc.). ...and if you customise your car in the game, it's easy to represent on the tabletop!

Now all we need is a set of rules... (that's in print and supported)

I suspect that if I tried to play a game of Car Wars using Legos, the game would grind to a halt and it would turn into just a big Lego building session.
