Stealing items in Munchkin Marvel...

I have a couple questions regarding the power that allows you to try and steal an item from another player. Can you use the power at any time (during a combat you are in or during another player's combat to lower their power)? When you steal an item and it was an equipped item does it automatically become equipped on you, or can you choose to carry it?

I am ruling that theft cannot occur when the target or perpetrator is in combat -- if the cards or rules don't say that, then consider this official errata for that set.

When you steal an Item, you may carry or equip it as you see fit.
