I wondered. The spreadsheet data that Doug has, seems to try and accommodate the barrel length of the gun, the bore of the gun (I'm guessing for windage purposes?) etc. But I don't know enough to be able to use Doug's sheet the way it SHOULD be used.

Hell, There was a round listed in the SEMPER MARS book where the round is a sabot round measuring 4.5mm with a muzzle velocity of about 1500 meters per second. With selective fire options for single fire, three round fire, five round fire, and I suspect, full auto - it seemed like a nifty weapon system to try and stat out in GURPS. It was a caseless round weapon that I really wanted to try and use in a GURPS sci-fi campaign set in the Heritage Trilogy novels. <sigh>

I'm not good enough to do that...

After a gigantic dearth of GURPS content, a conversation over on the GURPS Discord channel made me realize there's a cool way to represent missile tracking and acquisition . . . using control points from Technical Grappling.

He’s got missile lock!

Serious suggestion- why stop there?

How many situations could be represented using some conception of control points?

Some eg's:
Supers fighting with opposing blast powers until one is beaten back
Duellists, boxers or MMA fighters circling and trying to force an opening
Social, political or corporate "combat"

One article or blog post at a time. I'm finishing up distribution of one Kickstarter and eyeballing my next one (with 425,000 words of manuscript already written). I can only do so much. :-)

Call it a general call to arms then. I'm sure there are a few other clever people around here.

Aeon S4E3 resumes after a long break where we didn't play. We got off to a slow start, and did a lot of spy-type stuff, and try to kick over a few anthills in an effort to start the final takedown of Blue Skies.
