Default [Psi] New Ability: Neural Lash

On a previous thread I was looking at useing "Mental Blow" to cause afflictions as a primary rather than a secondary Effect. I don't think it's giving me the results I want as I want the affliction to be the Prime part of the ability.

Therefore, I have created this new ability. I have built it with the same level limitations as mental blow & mental stab. I have also included a few techniques to compleate the ability. All feedback is appreceated!

Neural Lash: 25/30/33/38/43/48 for Levels 1-6
Affliction: Agony, Reduced Duration: 1/10th (Target is affected for 6 sec/margin) Range is as for Telereceive (p. 59).

Statistics: Affliction 1 (Will; Based on Will, +20%; Incapacitation: Agony, +100%; Reduced Duration: 1/10th, -20%; Contact Agent, -30%; Malediction 1, +100%; Melee Attack, C, -30%; No Signature, +20%; Telepathy, -10%) [25]. Further levels remove Contact Agent [30], then Melee Attack [33], then upgrade Malediction to 2 [38], then 3 [43], and then add Long-Range 1 [48].

Techniques:

Lasting Blow:
Default: Neural Lash-4; cannot exceed Neural Lash.
Duration is rased to 1 min/margin. (Extended Duration x10, +40%)

Neural Lash: Alternate
(Not sure if there should be negitives on this one)
Default: Neural Lash; cannot exceed Neural Lash.
Affliction: Daze, Ecstasy, Hallucinate, Seizure, Instead of Agony.
Each is a seperate Technique.

Neural Lash: Paralysis
Default: Neural Lash-5; cannot exceed Neural Lash.
Affliction: Paralysis Instead of Agony.

Neural Lash: Uncontiousness
Default: Neural Lash-10; cannot exceed Neural Lash.
Affliction: Uncontiousness Instead of Agony.

Looks good! For the "Alternate" technique, I think it's sufficient that it's charging 2 FP per use.

I'd use "Alternate powers" for the "Alternate" techniques. Otherwise you get a whole set of powers for free.

It appears to be based off the worked system in GURPS Psionic Powers. If I am correct in that, then it is perfectly acceptable to do exactly what is being done.

Precisely so. He could choose to build them as Alternative Attacks of course, in which case he wouldn't need to spend 2 FP to activate the variant forms; if I were the GM there I'd let a single skill cover all the variants. The argument could be made to bump up the difficulty to VH (as was done for Unified TK) but that seems unnecessary, considering the similarity of the alternate powers in this case.
