My local Target had Adventure Time on clearance for $6.17 but Oz hadn't made the shelves yet.

Hay Andrew, Many years ago I summited card ideas for a Munchkin Oz. Was any submitted card idles considered or used for this?

Unfortunately, I was on such a tight deadline that I didn't even think to check the submissions file.

Maybe next time. I had a real good one.

Still waiting for Targets in Central Alabama to stock Munchkin Oz.

Meanwhile, I saw the page for Munchkin Oz reference Poppy Fields and Deadly Deserts, but didn't see those on the card lists. What's the story there?

Got my copy today! Took a road trip to MN to visit family...went to a local Target store. They didn't have any on the shelves, but I talked with a store employee, and she said they had some in back. She brought out an entire shipping box (still unopened) filled with Munchkin Oz goodness. Can't wait to play!

The actual shelf date is next week, so hopefully they'll get it done by then.

Not precisely under those names, but poppies and the Deadly Desert definitely ARE referred to in the set.

Few things. Finally made it to a Target to check this out. It wasn't on the shelf. Sadface.

So... I used this: http://brickseek.com/target-inventory-checker

The DCPI for Munchkin OZ is 087-10-2091 and put in your ZIP code. It's pretty accurate, from the times I've used it. When you ask an employee, give them the DCPI (it makes their lives a lot easier) and they should be able to grab you one from the back (mine did - thanks, Target guy!)

Now, this is where it gets odd. On Brickseek, it showed the closest stores to my home ZIP code. There were two closer (in the other direction) that showed it instock and priced at $24.99. The one I was at showed it for $27.99. Sure enough, it rang up at $27.99 when I checked out. I (politely) asked the clerk about the price on the bottom that said $24.95, she looked at it, asked another employee, and they gave it to me for the $24.95. Yay.

So... there ya go - a few Munchkin Oz tips for those looking. :D

It's like this at many stores across the country. Prices are set per store based on things like property taxes, local cost of living, and so many thousands of other things that I quit trying to understand. Numbers? I hate numbers.

And then this happened:

Yeah, there are reasons. Just seemed odd. I swear it wasn't listed on Target's website yesterday when I checked, as I was going to try and "price match" the price shown on the website (before the kindly Target employee emerged from the back with a copy where I was able to verify that the package had the MSRP printed on it). At least, I couldn't get it to pull up on the website, if it were there.

Should I keep my receipt? Any chance of a Treasure Hunt-esque promo for Oz?

Love the set. Went through it last night. Probably going to house-rule one card since blending this into my main set really makes the bad stuff on that card horrible. Aside from that, can't wait to get a chance to play it. :D
