Nice initiative!

I took a look on github and I see many empty png files( like 2x2-4x4Turn90Part2.png ). What is the purpose of those files?

It would be nice if you could add a rendered preview for each tile and push it in github repository.

They're not empty - but it seems PNG with a zero-ed Alpha channel looks empty in GitHub and most other viewing tools :-( You can see the content if you open the file in an editor.

They are mostly procedurally generated height-map - used in OpenSCAD to generate the 3D surface of the tiles.

They should be in a subdirectory "previews/" now :-)

They should; the PNG is telling the viewer that the pixels are completely transparent. If the tool(s) involved don't use the alpha channel they shouldn't write one; if a particular file doesn't need transparency the tool should write "fully opaque". (Sounds like a minor bug in the tool. :(

On the plus side, now I know a way to get rid of alpha channels in PNGs.

I would have thought 0 meant "fully opaque" ?

Anyway - they are intermediate files, not really meant to be looked at. Still, I should fix those home-brewed tools at some point :-/

In the meantime, Another picture of a few pieces, including a Start/Finish banner and a brick wall on the side.

When in doubt, read the spec: RFC 2083, Section 2.4. :)

As they say - "assumptions are the mother of all f*ck-ups" :-/

Anyway, it seems fixed now. I've regenerated the files with an opaque channel in the heightmap, so one can see the heightmap in github.

And now I can even use a 3D printed turnkey.

Still need the 3D-printable vehicles at classic size though.

I've added more track tiles to DungeonPrint. Still plenty to go, but a better selection in any case.
