CW6e draft record sheet in-play

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CJUrmLYUkAA8wLR.jpg Source: Phil Reed's Twitter feed. More tease than peek, thanks to Phil's clever camera positioning, but it's progress. Looks fun! Now for the wild speculation! Weapons cards are separate -- by design, or function of prototype? Dice in background are non-pip, pretty sure. The lack of a numerical value on the armor space makes me think the balance between armor and weapons will be card-based. The blue things in the second image are card sleeves, SOP for creating a playtest deck.

Re: CW6e draft record sheet in-play
If I had to guess I'd say that it's just using counters to track armor for a reusable "car board" rather than a writable "character sheet" for tracking damage. I am curious if the pink vs. green counter has any significance though.

If I'm correct (and I have no idea if I am), it seems a bit clunky to me - I'd rather see just one way of tracking damage - either use markers for DP for everything or markers and remove or use markers to indicate damage taken, but not both.

If I reccall, from the youtube live event they did before, the numebered counters represent armour. I notice that the tires still use damage points. I do not understand why you would use markers to keep track of one kind of damage and the old pen and paper method for the rest. Personally I think keeping track of these things with a pencil (or dry erase markers like frag) will keep things tidier on the table.

Re: CW6e draft record sheet in-play
I'm thinking pink represents damage points incurred (as the stuff inside the car has DP listed), and green represents number of hits. I wonder if armor is becoming more of a saving throw, where successive hits have a better chance of penetration without needing to tick off quantities of armor.
Of course, that doesn't require different colored counters. You'd just need a couple dozen numbered counters and use them for everything.

Re: CW6e draft record sheet in-play
Looks to me like the counters just represent remaining DP for the armor. It also looks like armor is going to be based on a #hits before a breach rather than an armor point system

I like what I see so far. I wonder how one becomes Phil's friend in time for GenCon?

Quick Reactions:
Our first good look. Not too surprising given what we'd seen so far. There's probably a more well known comparison to pick, but Car Synergy may be appropriate here at SJG's website. The "turning key" seems less than durable, at least in cardboard. (Moving parts are fiddly by design. :) The collision dice and (most of) the described rules are straight out of Overdrive Arena. I hated it there. :( Two players?

I like the way car customization is described: quick, easy, & points-based.
