Default Newbie Rule Question

The rules mention armor units ramming ogres (for example-heavy tanks). But I do not see if armor units can ram other armor units. If the over-run rules apply, what do you if they are not being used, as in an introductory scenario? Any input is welcome.

Which rules are you using? In general, the answer is "no, armor can't ram armor" but there are some exceptions (GEVs, for example)

Look at section 6.07 for specifics in the Battle Box Rules
  • 6.07.1 Ramming by Superheavies.
  • 6.07.3 Ramming by GEVs.
  • 6.07.4 Other units.

I am using the rules that came in the box (6th Ed, not designer edition) until I get a better handle on the game. So, if armor can't ram armor, and the overrun rules are not being used, should I assume that an armor unit can not enter another armor unit's hex? ( Like if a heavy tank unit tried to move into an enemy hex with a missile tank unit)

Yes, that's how you should do it.

I'm too slow it seems...but welcome to the game, and feel free to stick around...Ogre has so much more to offer once you're comfortable with it!

More types of conventional units such as Mobile Howitzers, Light GEVs, Superheavy Tanks, etc...terrain effects such as forests, cities, and swamps...new objectives like Trains...even static installations like hardened buildings and defensive turrets, even a no-hex-grid rulers-and-miniatures variant; 6E is only the beginning. :D

Happy to help. Feel free to fire away with any questions; we are usually pretty good about getting back quickly; there's always someone around reading. :-)
