for or until it's next action
Just had something pop up.
Creature gets attacked. Takes damage enough to set them up for -5DX. Before the next action, forced retreat move creature to fall off a cliff. Creature gets a DX roll to avoid falling. I would give the -5DX in this case either way. But would you say the -5DX goes away now? Or does it stay until it's next combat action. (Creature rolled critical success and I allowed not only not to fall, but to get back in original hex) Veering toward combat action. |

Re: for or until it's next action
It's a -2 rather than a -5, but my TFT friends and I always played that it lasted from the time they were hurt, through to their next time to act, so DX rolls up until that time, such as this, would be impaired, yes.

Agreed; I play that it is after your next official action that you 'reset', so any ad-hoc DX roll before that suffers the penalty

Re: for or until it's next action
Note that if you take the 8 hits then your next action is likely to be stand up again, and until you do so (at -2 DX for injury reaction) the enemy is +4 DX to hit the downed foe.

Re: for or until it's next action
One of the obvious omissions from LE is the lack of status counters for DEX-2. We have chits for "prone" but having chits for this would make managing things much more straightforward. Of course it's simple to improvise something but the game should really come with the counters.
