Default GURPS Steampunk 1: Settings and Style

Assorted speculations can now be put to bed with the publication of GURPS Steampunk 1: Settings and Style.

Enjoy!

Blank verse is Kromm's raison d'etre. I'm sure that he'll be along to do this formally soon. I just thought that I'd drop a marker.

Actually, what Kromm gives us is haiku. The scansion does not have five feet per line and is rarely iambic, but the syllable count is spot on.

Nice book. I just skimmed it but several parts look very interesting. I like the social bits and detail, including the new Fright Check type.
Gadgets are also cool though I have not run the numbers yet to see various options.

Overall this is a very nice and welcome book that is definitely a well thought out our setting/genre building book.

Hmmm... I think I'm going to need more information before I can make a purchase. That's uncommon, usually after reading the description I know whether or not I want a book, but this time there's precious little to go on. If you can give me a better idea of the sought of book this is, and its contents then you'll probably have yourself a customer.

Have you read the preview pdf? That usually gives me a pretty good idea.
Its s setting/genre design. Not much crunch but a little between status, Fright Checks, some modifiers on certain advantages and the converting devices to Steam Punk. A lot of setting advice and covering different flavors.

Mmm. The Contents Page and Introduction in the preview PDF should give a reasonable idea of the material.
