Sorry, please clarify - "mods" as in modifiers, modules, or moderators?

Can't say that I blame you...wasn't my intent, if it came across that way!

The sadness comes from getting my hopes up, and then dashed; from the outside looking in, Ogre looks like it's been gaining momentum since the 6E launch...and then "Battlefields is one-and-done barring enough demand to justify a reprint" was confirmation it hasn't picked up "enough", if that makes sense.

Doubly so now that I've looked at the Releases section and see we're still on the first printing of 6E...

From what Phil's posted in the past, the board game market at the moment is massively over-saturated with new content. Utterly massive quantities of new games are coming out every month, The distribution companies and local game stores can't possibly pick up more than a tiny fraction of the fire hose of new product, so anything that isn't a massive instant hit is lost in a literal sea of new games.

Ogre 6e, unfortunately, did not sufficiently distinguish itself from the rest of the flood.

We are comparatively fortunate: Ogre has a half-decent sized, extremely loyal fan base, who will quite reliably show up for Kickstarters and front piles of cash for new product. That makes it worth it for SJG to keep making new product. If they had to front the money for new product themselves, it would be far riskier, and if we had to depend on the distribution/LGS system for sales, new Ogre product wouldn't be happening at all.

HAHA! Mods as in mapboard modifiers. I think the moderators we have are just fine...lol. And we are always on the look for modules/scenarios....
