Default Acceptable use for pre-written adventures

I'm considering running "I Smell a Rat" for strangers on Roll20 to build GURPS awareness. I'd end up copying a fair bit of data out of the PDFs to use for the campaign. EX: maps, monster images, adventure text. Is this a legitimate use of these PDFs?

You are allowed to print PDFs you own for personal use anyway, so there really shouldn't be an issue with any of this.

Depends whether this counts as personal use. Running adventures for strangers arguably doesn't (best option will generally be to ask SJG).

Yeah, I missed that it was online. I was imagining an in-person game (I tend to forget people even game online at all). Sorry.

Your Roll20 table is like your private table. Only those invited to the game can come to the game (as long as you don't make the game public). You can boot the players from the game afterwards if you want to reuse it, or if you don't want them to continue to have access.

For virtual tabletop playing, a private invite-only game where you upload the maps extracted from the PDFs is the closest equivalent to sitting down at a convention or gameday with the physical maps.

None of it would be publicly available, but I want to keep things on the up and up since I would be advertising on public spaces that I have this game going.

I agree, but I want to make sure SJ Games agrees.
