Default Axe Cop: Queen of England

The "Queen of England" card reads as follows:

Play at any time on your turn. The Queen grants you a Power; Until the end of your turn, this power counts as Rank 0. Usable once only.

Where are you supposed to get "a" Power from? There seems to be several interpretive options, and we don't know which the card intends:
  1. You can now use a power you have played but which exceeds your level.
  2. You can take a power from the discard pile.
  3. You can simply give yourself a power that you know to exist in the game.

That is a confusing one.

I'd say it allows you to set one of your existing Powers to have a Rank of 0 or to play a new Power card from your hand as if it had a Rank of 0. At the end of your turn, the card will return to its real Rank and you may need to discard a Power to compensate (although you might have gone up Levels due to having that Power to allow you to keep it).

We need to clarify that card. Thanks for the reminder.

I am in no way a SJ Games official so take this response for what it's worth, but we always play it as # 3.

Any chance of getting it clarified here? If not, where would I go to find the official clarification?

I need to discuss it with Steve. We'll definitely post the clarification here, and in the FAQ as well.

Awesome, I was just wondering what the use of the card was.

It seems like the decision has been made. I was checking the FAQ and noticed it was updated:

A. It can come from your hand or the discards, as long as it doesn't duplicate a Power you already have in play. Discard the Power (and the Queen of England) at the end of your turn.
So the Power only lasts until the end of your turn, with its Rank being 0 for that whole time. It seemed to me from the original wording that you could choose to discard a different Power instead or keep it in play if your Level was high enough, as it implied that only the Rank changes at the end of your turn, but that's clearly not the intent given the FAQ.
