Default Pack, Belt, Carry

I was looking for some clarification and possible strategy.
If there is no limit to the amount of items in your belt, why would anyone want to put something in their pack? When would this be beneficial?

Wearable items don't go onto your belt.

Because not everything goes on your belt. The rules say that anything not worn or doesn't require Hands is kept on your belt. That means Armor, Footgear and Headgear don't go on your belt, and if you have extra Items like that, they have to go in your pack. So, what the rules say about having any number of Items on your belt is trying to say that you can have any number of Items that go on your belt on your belt.

IIRC, you can put unlimited throwables/one-shots on your belt. Scrolls, potions, etc.

Also from the rules:
Quote:
Your Belt
If an Item is not worn and does not require Hands, then it is carried "on your belt". Typical belt items are one-shots, mostly Scrolls and Potions. You may have any number of Items on your belt.
Many people think that the Belt is ONLY for one-shot items, but that's not true. A Thingie is an Item that is not worn and does not require Hands, so go right ahead and tuck that stepladder into your belt and carry it around...

The only question I have (came up in my first game) is: Does the Singing Dancing Sword go on the belt, or does it sort of wander around in front of you while you go through the rooms?

I played it as a Hand item that doesn’t require any hands. If that makes any since to you.

Yeah, it makes sense. That is sort of what I was meaning about it dancing around in front of you wherever you go under its own power.

Kill The Rabbit (Monster)

From: Bugs Bunny,What's Opera Doc?

That's what mine sings.

Pat

Edit: But when no ones around it sings and dances to “Hello! Ma Baby” (From Warner Brothers' Merrie Melodies cartoon ‘One Froggy Evening’), but I can prove it.
