Default Fallout pistol stats

My search-fu is terrible.

I'm trying to stat out or find stats for the 14mm Pistol from the Fallout CRPG in GURPS for a potential upcoming game. It's the one piece of equipment that I haven't been able to work out or find stats for someplace.

Has anyone taken a crack at trying to stat out this pistol for 4e?

Don't remember the pistol, but if you describe it real quick, I could whip up some stats. Revolver or Semi-Auto? Big Honkin Gun I assume? Remember approximately how many shots it had?

After some searching on the internets...

14 mm Pistol Dam 5d Acc 2 Range 210/2300 Weight 4.0/0.5 RoF 3 Shots 6(3i) ST 13 Bulk -3 Rcl 5 Cost Whatever LC 3

Not official or anything, but that should do ya.

Thanks. I might edit that slightly (Shots 5+1 (3) for a small box mag; the pic in the CRPG seemed to indicate that the box mag was in front of the trigger), but those stats certainly do seem to fit the gun nicely.

Now all I have to do is assign CRs for Vault-13, Shady Sands, Junktown, the Hub, Adytum, and Necropolis (easily done in one afternoon of playing... erm, "research"), and I am ready to start recruiting players. ;)

The damage should probably also be pi+.

Krapou's unofficial conversion gives 8d-1 pi+ for a .50 BMG pistol. That's 12.7 mm, but the BMG round is a big one...

Actually I guess the 14mm pistol is more like the .50AE, but just a little bigger (nothing to compare to .50BMG IMHO)

5d pi+ seems fair, but in fact, there is no way to know : damage is not proportionnal to caliber (9mm is less powerful than 5.56mm for example...)

A good way to find could be comparing the damage this 14mm pistol to other weapons of the Fallout video game.


And I really should modify some of the weapon stats in my website now that HT is available...

Ah yes, I forgot that pistols are low-powered weapons. The .50 BMG is a sawed-off rifle, and fires bullets at rifle veloceties. The 14mm doesn't, hence lower damage.

I just built the thing using the weapon design chapter of Vehicles (for 3e), and got the following stats (after adjusting for a pistol grip and box mag). Built with a Short Conventional Rifled Barrel with Low-Powered ammo and a fast autoloading system.

Malf: Crit
Dam: 4d
1/2D: 230
Max: 2000
Acc: 3
EWt: 4.4 lb
RoF: 3~
SS: 10
WPS: 0.1 lb
VPS: 0.00067 cf
CPS: $0.20
Cost: $470
Shots: 5
Rcl: -4
LWt: 5.1
ST: 14

Now, assuming that the damage, 1/2D, Max, RoF, WPS, CPS, EWt, and LWt are essentially unchanged, how would the Acc, SS, Rcl and ST stats change for 4e?

There's no SS any more, of course.

Acc is 2, which is the best a conventional pistol weapon gets in Ultra-Tech.

Rcl is either 3 or 4. I'd compare it to the Desert Eagle .50 AE, but I don't have my books with me. Same goes for Bulk, probably give it the same as the Desert Eagle.

ST depends on weight, mostly. ST 12 looks right, but I'd compare it to similarly sized pistols from the books first.
