Re: TL 4+1 Ravnica Inspired Ecumenopolis
Storm would probably make sense in either red or blue. And yeah, spells that promote life should indeed be green.
What about RPM? It's my favorite system. I'm not sure it's the right fit for MTG'esque games, though. |

Re: TL 4+1 Ravnica Inspired Ecumenopolis
I like RPM but I believe the people I'd be running this for would like the standard magic system better. The biggest problem is just that MTG magic is very of the moment stuff so you'd have to not use or change the charm rules and speed up casting to make it viable in combat, maybe 1 second per gather energy for adepts and 5 seconds for non-adepts?
Also the GM would have to decide what color(s) each spell is when it is made and then determine the mana level from there. As always it's more flexible as you can more easily make multi-colored spells and spell combinations. |

Well, you could have evryone take Ritual Adept and Gathering mastery, as I do for Sorcerors in my RPM Dungeon Fantasy. It s pretty complicated, though.

It's more complicated base but the conversion is a bit simpler I think. Not sure how you'd emphasize someone being good at one color over another though. Maybe as limitations on their magery, ritual adept, etc?
I'm finishing up with the Animal College now. A lot of Green and Blue spells with a handful of Black ones. I ended up giving the straight control spells to Blue and Black(Green got some of the less extreme ones too). Wasn't sure if I should let White have Beast Soother(Green definitely has it). Wasn't sure what colors I should give Rider too. Green and Blue got all of the shapeshifting spells. Red and White even got a spell in the form of Protect Animal and Beast-Rouser respectively. |

See Ritual Path Specialists, from Pyramid 66. I'd say each color is about a broad tradition, for -15% off of Magery, Ritual Adept, and Gathering Mastery.
