He's trusting on Mitch's Seraph gift to see past his superficial language to the real meaning, particularly that Dando wants to arrange repatriation for the remaining Ethereals and may still be willing to talk about bringing the absent one of Odin's men back to the Marches .

While Kane talks to Mitch, Sunae makes another call to Ryuki.
Watashi wa atode watashitachi to aitai. Watashi wa sonogo, setsumei shimashou. Translation: I forgot to tell you, Glen took the books and the jars that I made clear were for you. We're going to need your help for other things concerning him anyway. I would like you to meet with us later. I'll explain then. |

Re: In Nomine: the Pacific War (IC)
The young Kyriotate of Destiny had been left deeply confused by events after the fighting between the elder angels over the Ethereals. It didn't want to get lost, so it divided itself into various pigeons and kept them close by the angels remaining in town as they separated. That way it wouldn't be lost and would be on hand if it was needed.
God bless multiplicity! And this way it could give multiple observations to its' teachers when it got home. If it got home. It wasn't sure if it was allowed to go home at this point. It wasn't sure about a lot of things really. But it was here to help! That was the important part. |

"I'm at the office, expecting him and one other person, from IHS," he uses the term from before, which reminds you that the secretary Nicole might be listening in on him. "If you 'coincidentally' show up just after Glen gets here, that could make things easier for all concerned."

Kane nods again. "Sounds like he's back at work," he tells Mitch over the phone. "You know how to get him there?"

He replies in Japanese. "Not at the same time, if I'm lucky. Glen, in about a half hour depending on traffic, the guy from IHS about an hour later."
