Question about Rick and Morty Expansion
Hi everyone!
I had a very specific question about the Rick and Morty expansion that I hope someone can clarify. While playing,a friend was using the Jacob ally card which allows him to gain a level when in combat, without any caveat that this cannot be the wining level. We had a log argument about whether or not this could be the winning level, as usually most cards will say "This cannot be the winning level." However some cards say "This can be the winning level." Any clarification would be greatly appreciated! |

Re: Question about Rick and Morty Expansion
From my understanding, "Jacob" the Ally acts like the Elf "Go Up A Level" (GUAL) ability from the original Munchkin by killing monster(s), not defeating monster(s).
Links below are consistent rulings of an Elf being a helper winning the game: elf effect winning the game (2010) Can an Elf win by helping someone? (2012) Elf level 9 wins the game? (2014) Can a lvl 9 Elf win by helping? (2016) |

Re: Question about Rick and Morty Expansion
Confirmed. Because this is a level received as a direct result of killing a monster, it can be the winning level.
