Default Aiding a monster in combat.

I was playing with a friend and he was fighting a monster and i played another as a wondering monster so now he faced two. He played a card from the munchkin fu deck we were playing that removed any cards that would aid a monster and said the wondering monster would be affected and removed because he was aiding the other. I said that is not what the cards says as it stated a card aiding the monster (I.E. and enhancer, or potion or anyone shot to pump it up or help it directly and only it. ) as the wondering monster card is in and of its self not doing anything to aid the other monster and it only effects the added one. I told him f the first was an undead and i played another to help it as per the rules then it would affect the added monster seeing as he is directly assisting the original monster.

The card in question is Kung Fu Grope and your description is pretty accurate. However, I'm comfortable ruling that using Wandering Monster to add a monster to the combat is not "[aiding] any one monster" as intended by the card.

thanks, man, I have been a GM for years and can get a good handle on most basics of the game quick and usually my gut response is correct in my judgment calls. Thanks for confirming said call

Mr. Hackard, how does kung fu grope react to Spirit mirror? Is spirit mirror allowed, if it's aiding the monster in such a way that it prevents it from getting killed?

Can you still attack a friendly monster?

That's not the intent of KFG. "Aiding" a monster means adding to its combat strength. Spirit Mirror would be fine.

That question has a more complex answer that boils down to "It depends on what made it friendly." You have to read the card. If a monster says out of the gate that it will not attack a certain Class or Race, for instance, munchkins of that Class or Race cannot fight it at all. However, there are other cards that say different things, so I can't give a universal answer.

Ok, thank you.
So - could I have attacked this particular monster?
I wanted to kill it to finish the game...

No, because Spirit Mirror says explicitly that the monster cannot be killed.
