Default Banestorm Map Request

Please, please, PLEASE, someone at SJG compile a master map if Yrth. If it were large enough and high-res enough I would pay for it from e23. I am REALLY enjoying reading through Banestorm but am already getting tired of flipping pages to look at various maps as different locations are mentioned. The map on page 84 is fine for national level questions but what I really want is a map that combines all the regional maps into one image/file.

Anything like that in the works? Please? :)

I thought there was an idea to make the map available as a poster at Warehouse 23.

I really second this! a huge YRTH map available as poster would look real cool!

Still, I have access to huge color printers in my university (a side effect of sharing the campus with architecture students), so if it's available as a digital file, I would print it and laminate it ;)

A large poster map would be good, so long as it has national and regional markings like the maps in the book. It needs to be useful in a game to be worth it to me. A digital version is actually better for me because it could be cropped and printed a various zoom levels as needed.

BTW, I really like the map style chosen for Banestorm.

I'm a map fiend so I'd be more than willing to pay for it as a poster from warehouse23, though for that I would request something larger than 11x17, though that would be about the minimum I'd need for my uses.

Once upon a time, there was really poor quality scan of the Original Fantasy 1st edition Map of Yrth up on the SJG server. I wish they'd done it better and used the Fantasy 2nd edition map. But if it's still there it's something downloadable.

It came in two parts. East Yttaria and West Ytarria.

I think that an 11x17" poster from W23 would be the best way to go, as long as it's done to a high enough level of resolution that the "regional-level" details are clear and easy to read. Obviously, you can cut out most of the ocean, just leaving what's necessary to squeeze in all of the land mass. I'd definitely pay $10 for that.

Yes, a map would be really nice to complement the nifty book.

I believe you are confusing the Fantasy 2nd edition map with the 1st (both available at http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/yrth/3e/)

The 1st edition map (800x600 wallpaper) is the poor scan and I have only seen the East portion of this map. The one in two parts (east and west) is the Fantasy 2nd edition map. Unfortunitly they used jpg to compress the images which makes the text in many places nearly unreadable (PNG would have been better)

I wish they would go full poster size. I mean really anybody here who wouldn't pay $20 for a full poster size map for Banestorm...anyone? Anyone?
