None of these have seen use in-game yet, but one of my players has been statting up spells from Harry Potter with RPM, all of which can be seen here.

Note that these are spells expressly for a campaign that is not taking place in the Harry Potter setting, a campaign that has some very stringent rules on RPM that doesn't really play well with Harry Potter's assumptions, and so on.

They're more "Based On" rather than an effort at a real conversion.

For starters, in a real conversion, RPM would have to be modified so that rather than resistance rolls, attack rolls and active defenses are the main way that rituals are handled.

So, in our attempts to explore the bandit lair, Jaina and friends found a chained up captive

The Spell Celti linked earlier was promptly used to deal with unlocking the locked chains

Then a healing spell was used to heal said captive

Healing Spell: Its a healing spell.

This Casting: Greater Restore Body (4) + Subject Weight, 300 lbs. (3) + Healing, 4d HP (12) + Range, 2 yds (0). 57 energy (19×3).

Not very exciting but got the job done!

Some bandits showed up, including a plate clad Bandit Boss! Jaina introduced him to Dehydrate!

Dehydrate: This spell is a save or suffer Malediction, range 15 yds, up to 3,000lb target. It destroys the water within the body in painful fashion.

This Casting: Greater Destroy Matter (5) + Lesser Control Magic (5) + Range, 15 yds (5) + Subject Weight, 3,000 lbs. (5) + Damage, Internal Toxic 6d+1 (21). 123 energy (41×3).

Jaina rolled a 5 on the casting roll, crit, bye bye!

So, we killed the bandits. Rescued Prisoners, and got loot and took some bandits prisoner

How to get home? Well, we have a roc, it can carry us. But we cant all ride it, so a SM +5 roc needs a SM+5 large basket!

Super Bewitched Basket: Conjures a SM+5 3000 lb wicker basket! With capacity of 900 cubic feet and weight capacity 37 tons! Retails for 6k so crafting check of -3! (So for no skill, IQ -7)

This Casting: Lesser Create Matter (6) + Subject Weight, 3,000 lbs. (5) + Duration, 12 hours (6) + Bestows A Bonus, +7 to Professional Skill: Weaving (64). 81 energy (81×1).

Jaina cast the spell, but failed the IQ-7 check (She needed 13)!

So, Jaina has a bonus to weaving and 3000lbs of wicker piled up.

Weavin the Wicker: This is a spell to weave wicker, up to 3000 lbs (useful if one has 3000lbs of magically created wicker handy)

This Casting: Lesser Control Matter (5) + Subject Weight, 3,000 lbs. (5). 10 energy (10×1).

Later, once get to town, Jaina did a (not statted up) Lesser Restore Matter to fix her clothes up to ship shape (got mussed when the roc grappled her), and after getting paid, a Lesser Sense Matter on the purse she was given to identify how much reward

Shouldn't the effect here be greater? I'm pretty sure that conjuring stuff out of nowhere should be greater under normal rules... or are you using different criteria?

Create Matter actually only requires a Greater effect for complex things (from the examples, the criteria seems to be 'has several distinct pieces / moving parts'). Lesser is sufficient to create simple tools or melee weapons, and a basket is arguably simpler than a lot of those.

A GM would be free to declare a giant basket to be a greater effect, though, particularly for this ritual since the casting included a +7 bestows a bonus to a skill, which usually caps out at +5 for lesser effects.

Would have cut off the bonus at 5 then, would have resulted in Jaina looking even sillier as would have failed the next roll on trying to put the basket together as well, but probably would have eventually succeeded

It came up in game today as Jaina was trying to explain her exploits

"Well, actually, the mind control wasn't as hard as the giant basket"

So, Jaina and friends noticed something trying to sneak up on the inn where were staying. It decided to run away.

Jaina would have none of that, so improvised a spell to cast from Pool and FP! (She has 18 pool, so all her pool and 3 FP)

Running Boost: Adds Enhanced Move .5 boosting move, intended to be cast mostly from pool in a hurry!

This Casting: Lesser Strengthen Body (3) + Altered Trait, (10) + Subject Weight, 300 lbs. (3) + Area Of Effect, 3 yards (2) + Duration, 10 minutes (1). 19 energy (19×1).

With this her friends caught the critter, which turned out to be a big humanoid lizard. Alas, noone spoke Lizard to grill it!

Lizard Lips: Adds Speak with Animals - Reptiles

This Casting: Lesser Strengthen Mind (3) + Altered Trait, , Speak with Animals, Reptiles (10) + Area Of Effect, 3 yards (2) + Duration, 1 hour (3). 18 energy (18×1).

So, the lizard was then able to talk, and it was hungry. It would be happy to lead the party to treasure in exchange for food. Now, Jaina _could_ probably Create Food no problem, but well, the party was in town, bought a chunk of pork from the butcher and gave to the lizard, no sense risking botched spells for a few silver right?

So, lizard led off to its lair! And our favorite magelet (Jaina) got herself stuck in the opening, oops! The DM ruled that Jaina could try casting, but was staring down a nasty penalty as she could barely breathe or move. So, Jaina's best skill is Matter (18), she has Higher Purpose Hydromancy, but I couldnt see a good Hydromantic approach to this problem (body of water would work, but is definitely pricy)

So heres what she cast!

Oil Coat: Douses the caster in a hearty coating of oil, for Slippery 3!

This Casting: Lesser Create Matter (6) + Altered Trait, , Slippery 3 (6) + Duration, 10 minutes (1) + Subject Weight, 10 lbs. (0). 13 energy (13×1).

The rest of the party found this terribly amusing

After returning to the home town (with the lizards treasure), Jaina had the problem of having inconveniently large roc. She knew this is the spell she wanted to cast

Fun Size: Allows something the size of a roc to be the size of a housecat at will. 9 levels of shrinking specifically.

This Casting:*Greater Transform Body (8) + Subject Weight, 50 tons (8) + Altered Trait, , 9 levels of Shrinking (45) + Duration, 1 month (11).*216 energy (72×3).

Which with her 17 in Body is waaaaay beyond her. Fortunately she found a +4 grimoire of it, which meant she might, maybe, pull it off!

3 quirks! The roc shrank, becoming tiny, bright yellow, and with almost non-existent wings. Jaina's clothes became huge and fell off, and her hair shrank to a stubble

Next time Jaina is probably going to be trying to fix her new hairstyle (Can you use magic to undo magic? Can Jaina attempt magic hair growth?)
