Agreed. Everybody into the pool isn't easy to reverse. If it's 1995, the tech boom would have to be effected by the possibilities of manufacturing computer chips in the hard vacuum of space. Solar satellites are also a possibility. Both would favor the USA over rivals. Is the USA even more of a Hyper-power in this world than ours? Is the EU in space?

Try this one...

In Homeline History the Spanish Inquisition tended to suppress Native American authors writing in Nahuatl and other native languages. However, in las Casas-2(named for Bartolome de las Casas) the Franciscans and later the Jesuits successfully championed literacy in Nahuatl and the scholars of the older Mexican cultures wrote down vast libraries of their cultures' lore and history.

This Q6 world delights the Cabal, the lore is rich and exciting. But the interest in these old books in Mexico, Spain, and the University of California's collections, has lead others to secrets the Cabal wants for itself alone.

The local year is 1957, the Kenneth Anger film Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome is very different. Three times as long and based around the ancient Toltec rituals, with insights from other cultures thrown in, it causes a jump in the local manna level (if the manna level is greater than No Manna and less than High Manna) if seen by an audience of more than 169 or more people. For every 169 people that see the film the manna level is raised in a one mile radius for one month. If anyone in the audience experiences sexual release while watching the film (they told you what goes on in the upper balconies in the back row) this is extended by one month per sex act. Three months if it's a gay sex act.

The US military has found out about this. On certain secluded bases dedicated to obscure researches the enlisted men show a great affection for film night! And weirdly enough they like art films.

The Cabal is in fury. The last thing they want is another Merlin on their hands. Homeline and Centrum are both getting pristine copies of the film. The chance to make temporary areas of heightened manna is just to good.

Meanwhile, in areas where a certain film is shown regularly urban legends are speaking of huge bats. Strange creatures some folks even say they look like men with gigantic bat wings.

This world Q4 is a Myth parallel, basically, the Great Moon Hoax was no hoax. Furthermore, it has been abundantly clear that the Lunarians are sophisticated and complex beings.

The local year is 1979. Earthfolk landed on the moon in 1959, and Moonfolk have been coming to the Earth since 1964.

While the Earth is low Manna, the moon is normal manna. consequently, the Lunarians have reintroduced Magic to the Earth!

The Cabal is both livid and intrigued. Homeline is simply looking to get in on the magic lore while the getting is good.

St. Martin's

This recently discovered Q5 world (discovered by the Cabal and the Swagmen, not Homeline or Centrum) had superheroes show up in the 1930's just a little ahead of the normal time for most worlds that get Superheroes.

The Epicenter of the phenomena was a radius of thirty miles around Times Square New York city. In this radius superheroes (called Mystery men) were about one in 250,000 people, or about 40 supers in this area. If a line was drawn around the Canadian Maritines down to the Chesapeake Bay, under Alexandra Virginia, through West Virginia to the Ohio River, along the Ohio River to Illinois, through Illinois to the Mississippi, up the Mississippi to Wisconsin, on through to Lake Michigan, from the center of lake Michigan, though the lower peninsula of Michigan, into Lake Huron above the peninsula dividing lakes Huron and Erie, Through Ontario, into Quebec, into the Saint Lawrence river East of Quebec City, and along the St. Lawrence to a point North of Nova Scotia, it would enclose the area were Superheroes were one in a Million in North America. In the Rest of the world, except for the Valley of the Nile North of Aswan (which tends to have Mystical heroes only), Tibet (Ditto), and the Celtic lands {Ireland, the Scots Highlands, Wales, Brittany, Cornwall, and the Isle of Mann} (which have either mystic heroes or superwarrior types), supers are one in fifty million. The three non-North American exceptions have restricted types of Superheroes. Egypt and Tibet have one in a million supers, the Celtic area has one in 250,000 (although researchers find that Irish Americans in New York aren't any more likely than anyone else to be transformed).

The local year is 1941, Europe is at war, FDR is working to aid the allies. Scholars and scientists worldwide are working to find out what causes Superheroes and if they could create them to order.

Meanwhile the Cabal wants the data too. It would be convenient to be able to freely generate supers and the like as henchmen and allies. Certain well known Swagmen are also after the data and have little love for the Cabal. other Swagmen have become Supervillains or simply supply criminals with advanced weaponry.

Another Swagman, a leftover Neo-Nazi punk, has tried to kill Churchill. Luckily RED DRAGON (a proud Welsh man, let Rob Brydon play the role ) both saved Churchill and captured the Swagman.

Now the fat is in the fire. Neither the Cabal nor the Swagmen want a world with supers learning the secret. Especially one so near Homeline. How to capture and silence the cheap thug in spite of a cadre of powerful supers, mainly mystics, watching to prevent a jailbreak or assassination?

I think I'd like to run (or play) this with the players being the local supers, but it could work very well as a 'two competing groups of players' game, if the GM or GMs could manage it.

The world designated Scale has been classified a Z-world - off-limits.

On the surface, it's a fairly ordinary near-parallel except that a unique species of elephants was domesticated in the Americas before First Contact, triceratops were domesticated in Europe (primarily as heavy cavalry), and Genghis Khan's Hordes rode dire wolves. The current year is 1875, with indications of a steampunk technology movement beginning.

But what makes this world banned is the Scale Problem.

When any conveyor with living beings appears on this world, their scale relative to the world is determined randomly. That means that a parachronic team of normal size humans can end up anywhere between two feet (SM-3) and twenty-twenty-four feet (SM+3) tall. The probability of arriving at their normal size is rather low. They return to normal scale upon leaving that world.

The first infiltration team to arrive got the low end of the scale, showing up at the two-foot size. They were captured by a sideshow owner and a rescue team was sent, only they got the other end of the scale, arriving as giants. After a rather ... energetic series of events, the first team was rescued and the extraction was successful. Both teams were restored to normal size upon returning to Homeline, and the whole timeline was restricted.

What your form in said reality is depends on your moral (dis)advantages.

Perhaps bad people change into classic ogres, losing intelligence and gaining size and strength. While good people become more fey or elfin.

With most individuals really being kind of middle of the road morally, it could take a few groups before the effects are fully understood.
