Lucky Penny usage
Lucky Penny can be used to retrieve an item "lost to a Curse" from the discard pile. This is normally pretty straightforward, but what about the case of items that are involved in canceling or deflecting curses? This includes:
1. Wishing Ring 2. Lucky Talisman 3. The Occasionally Reliable Amulet Say you use a Wishing Ring to cancel a curse. Now the Wishing Ring is in the discard pile. You only lost that Wishing Ring, an item, because of a Curse; you could not have lost that item to the discard pile at that instant otherwise. Is this not "lost to a Curse"? Same reasoning extends to the other items above. Another way of looking at it is: does Lucky Penny only apply to items specifically and directly targeted by a Curse, or does it also include things lost "along the way" like attempting to use The Occasionally Reliable Amulet and losing your roll? |

Re: Lucky Penny usage
You aren't "losing" a Wishing Ring to a Curse. You are using the Wishing Ring to cancel out the Curse.

Re: Lucky Penny usage
Using an Item's one-time ability to deflect or cancel a curse is not the same as losing an Item to a curse like Curse! Lose 1 Small Item. You can't gank someone's used Wishing Ring from the discards with Lucky Penny.

Re: Lucky Penny usage
I just wanted to express my appreciation of your use of the word "gank" in this reply. :)
