I'd be all for that. I loved the "Dirty Tech" boxes in GURPS High-Tech.

content deleted, as I seem to have misunderstood the poster - he already identified the name of the RPG system that the grid was from.

Well, I remembered it and edited my post... :)

I just thought of basing the matrix on a triangle/hexes, like the diagram you always see for Holdridge Life Zones. Hmm...

Because, frankly, if you know Survival (Jungle) then having the same default to Survival (Woodland) as to Survival (Arctic) is a bit odd.

It did puzzle me, a lot, because I remembered you talking about a PDF in your post, and also an impression that you didn't know what RPG system the Survival Terrain Grid was from, but after I posted, I went back to your post and saw no mention of either of those two, and I also didn't see any indication that you had edited your post, so it was actually very frightening, making me wonder if my brain had become severely scrambled due to lack of sleep.

While I'm sure there's much more to say on the subject, I'd like to point out that GURPS After the End 2: The New World has quite a bit on both survival and scrounging, along with related topics like extreme climates and safely navigating through ruins. You may be surprised at how much I ungracefully jammed into it. :)

And we now have a title. I look forward to it. :)

Actually, I mentioned the title in my AMA thread earlier, along with a fair amount of other stuff. Check out the summary links in the first post for more.

ATE: groups (As stated earlier, it would cover gangs and such)

ATE: Rare finds (Artifacts from the past that could be used as plot items)

ATE: friends (Suitable list of allies for a wasteland game and rules for playing lower point cost characters and higher ones)

ATE: gear list (Loadouts for the different templates)

ATE: Places (How to create cities or towns for a ATE game along with 2 or 3 example)

ATE: garbage (giant table of random junk that can be found in the waste land)

I think these would be great.

That's a bit like the Dungeon Fantasy supplement list. It will be interesting to see if After the End sells like Dungeon Fantasy, since SJG's experience of sales of post-apocalypse GURPS material hasn't been that encouraging.

thats cause I looked at what DF had and listed those lol. After all, what else could you want that DF doesn't have already? an ATE version would simply add higher TL stuff.
