Reversal of Fortune Scroll Color Question
Hi there.
I was wondering if there was a reason why the background color of this card, looks more like the door's background color, with that lighter shade? I just noticed it today, and the only thing I could think of is since the card's purpose is to reverse the numbers, maybe the colors were reversed too? Thanks. |

Re: Reversal of Fortune Scroll Color Question
I'm away from my cards, so I can't answer this definitively, but either we screwed up or you have a card with a color-matching error.

Re: Reversal of Fortune Scroll Color Question
I have two Reversal of Fortune Scroll cards bought at two different times, and both of them have the tan background colour of a door card, rather than the yellowish colour of the treasures. My friends are always discarding it in the wrong pile, no matter how often I correct them.

Mine are like that also. It makes them easier to find in the deck and I always thought that was the purpose, but perhaps it's just a lucky side effect.

My sparkling good fairy card is the same way. Its a lighter color than the rest of my door cards.

Re: Reversal of Fortune Scroll Color Question
I'm not complaining in any way, mind you. I was simply curious. I just noticed it the other day as I was going through my cards to see if I was missing any promos or expansion packs. I saw it and thought a dorr card was mixed into my door cards by accident.

Re: Reversal of Fortune Scroll Color Question
The Reversal of Fortune Scroll's different background color may have something to do with how it is played. The rules do state that the player starts with it, and that it is not discarded into the treasure deck when it is used, but placed aside. It cannot be stolen or taken by any other player. It is not intended to be mixed in with the treasure deck.

Re: Reversal of Fortune Scroll Color Question
Guys, I really appreciate the rationalizations, but I think it's just a mistake.

Re: Reversal of Fortune Scroll Color Question
I'm reluctant to bump such an old post, but I just got an order in today that included one of these misprinted cards (guess it hasn't been fixed yet?) - I'm left wondering, is it supposed to be a door card or a treasure card?
I guess it really doesn't matter much if you play it by the rules - but I'd still like to know. :D |

Re: Reversal of Fortune Scroll Color Question
If it were meant to be a Door, then it would be the only non-Steed Item in the Door deck, so you can pretty much guarantee it is meant to be a Treasure, but it just has the wrong background colour on the card's face.
