Default Internal Parasites

What spell in the book would get rid of internal parasites? (screwfly maggots, trichinosis, flukes, tapeworms, facehuggers, Goa'uld, etc.)

Cleansing seems like it should do the job, but the 4e Magic explicitly states that it only works vs. external parasites.

Sterilize/Remove Contaigon only kills microscopic bacteria (and probably fungus and yeast, etc.)

Remove Fetus

What?

All right, technically, Remove Fetus only removes one kind of parasite, and is intended to remove it intact. However, Cure Disease makes no particular definition of disease beyond referring to the one on Page B80 which says and I quote, "all bacteria, viruses, fungi etc". It's up to you whether tapeworms qualify as et cetera.

Want to try that page reference again? 3e or 4e? Basic, Magic, or Bio-Tech? Contagion in 4e starts on B443 (Campaigns) Remove Fetus seems to be a 3e-only spell in Technomancer.

Remove Fetus is in Biotech but of course I only mentioned it as a joke. Although I suppose it could be used as model for a parasite removal spell if parasites doesn't qualify as a disease in your book.

D'oh! I forgot 4e Bio-Tech had the magic spells!

Cure Disease -- in practice, magic doesn't really distinguish between one type of hostile organism in your body (e.g., bacteria) with another (e.g., flukes). One casting per type of infection/parasite, of course.

In fact 4e Remove Contagion is not limited to microorganisms either. It will affect parasites, it just doesn't work on anything internal either. It's not the same spell Sterilize was. There was some attempt to edit the 4e spells so they don't require a modern interpretation of the causes of disease.

Cure Disease certainly works. I'd think if your campaign natural laws include diseases caused by animal infestation, Repel Vermin probably should work too, if maintained for a while and treating the interior of your body as a mobile area in the same manner spells can attach to vehicles.
