Lust Monster question
We were playing over the holidays and this came up:
What if the Lust Monster is the monster required to beat to reach 10 points? Since the Lust Monster card requires help does that mean a player cannot win versus the Lust Monster since nobody would help a person win their 10th point? <Corrected thanks to StormCrow42 pointing out my error in reading the rules.> Last edited by bucfan76; 11-25-2012 at 06:58 PM. |

Re: Lust Monster question
Where did you read that you must defeat the monster for level 10 alone? That is not the case, although of course you'd probably have difficulty finding someone willing to help. But if you do get a helper, you can certainly win.

Re: Lust Monster question
Also, there is no reason to post a question in both the Munchkin forum and the Munchkin 101 forum. Andrew and I scan through both regularly, so you only have to pick one forum and ask the question in that forum. Bear in mind, this forum is more targeted to new players, not seasoned ones, so that might help you pick which forum you target in the future.

Re: Lust Monster question
Answering the edited question, a Level 9 Elf might help against the Lust Monster as it means they would win the game too. Perhaps you could word a deal to do someone a favour outside of the game to get somebody to help as well.
Those situations are rarely going to work, but they are possible, so the Lust Monster can be beaten for the win. |

Re: Lust Monster question
In a game of Munchkin Zombies last night, Lisa, at level 8, offered to help Heidi, at level 9, in a combat. She then played Steal Tasty Brains!, so instead of Heidi winning, Lisa went up to level 9. :) It was one of the most munchkinly things I've ever seen.

Or course, I like to fight low levels monsters as an Orc. Players usually forget you're an Orc. Then you calmly discard the low level, place your piece on the level 10 spot, and leave the room. |

Re: Lust Monster question
Munchkin 101 is for questions and answers, not conversations. I see we weren't sufficiently stringent about that when the forum was created a couple of years ago, but we're going to be now.
