Discarding cards
Hi everyone,
Is anyone allowed to look through the discard piles at any time? Maybe to see if a certain card was already discarded so the player does not have to worry about that card anymore. Or is no one allowed to look through the discard pile and only rely on their own memory of cards discarded and only the current face up card on top of the discard pile? When discarding cards by using an ability like Charm (or any other ability which requires you to discard more than 1 card) do you have to show other players what you are discarding? For example, you could discard 3 cards for using Charm and when you are discarding your cards, you could hide 2 cards behind 1 of the cards and discard them all together in one small bunch so no one gets to see the 2 cards you discarded but only the 1 card that is covering the other cards (which will now be on top of the discard pile face up). It could prove to be advantageous to know what cards has been discarded while other players will never know. I hope these questions weren't too confusing. |

Re: Discarding cards
According to the latest version of the rules, no. You may only look through the discards when you play a card that specifically allows it.
(A corollary of that rule is that, when using an ability that requires one to discard, one must show the discards to the other players.)
