Default Multiple brains. how do they work?

We have the base assumption of one brain, and the IT: no brain.
But what about in between with two to a million tiny interconnected brains?
Extra head can't be used as a base as it comes with a host of other features.
Though its suggestion of HP/#heads as a maximum damage to head, (or brain holding section I assume) seems sensible.

Compartmentalized Mind might be a good start.

Also, Split Personality, though that has a host of fun plot-related side effects.

Oh no, I meant multiple as in a distributed consciousness, not completely independent brains. I think computer tech calls what I want a R.A.I.D.

Well, in a way we humans have those what with our two hemispheres often acting independent of each other. Many oddities from deja vu to unconscious limb movements etc. are from that semi-autonomous nature.

IDHMPFWM, but search BIO for two-heart builds.

Auxiliary heart cost 3 points. As the heart is by no means the only vital, that is far far too expensive for being a single back up.

But thanks for reminding me of it.

No Brain already covers the extreme case of a million tiny brains. B61:"No Brain: Your brain -- if you have one -- is distributed throughout your body, or isn't your true seat of consciousness."

Of course. But I meant that as one end of the spectrum of 0 to 5 points, 1 to infinity brains.

Maybe I should redefine what I'm looking for.

0 points: one brain R.A.W.
1 points: ?
2 points: ?
3 points: ? (not profit)
4 points: ?
5 points: X brains effectively no brain location

Building off of the idea of a "backup" heart, maybe for 3cp you could buy a "backup brain" such that if one is damaged or destroyed, the character would revert to a default single-brain scheme. Is that the sort of thing you're looking for, Flyndaran?
