Limitations
I want to make sure that I have understood how limitations work. By my estimations I have gotten the following.
If an advantage is active 25% of the time, would it be a -30% limitation? If an advantage is active 14% of the time, would it be a -40% limitation? If an advantage is active 6% of the time, would it be a -50% limitation? Are these correct? And have someone already made a list of what limitation is given if an advantage only works some of the time? I'm looking for sequences of percentages to a certain limitation value rather than examples of things that would be given that limitation value. |

Re: Limitations
Do you mean things like Accessability: Only on Sundays? There's a more thorough explanation of how to rule the value of those in Powers.

Re: Limitations
The 25% of the time is right, the other two should be taking steps of -5%, not -10%.

Re: Limitations
To point out to the OP: Over reliance on that Accessibility chart from Powers can lead to difficulties when determining proper values for customized limitations. I've found that it's best to compare a proposed modifier to the closest existing one in the books, then estimate a value based on how much you think the new one is better or worse (for the affected character) than the existing mod, and then comparing that value to other modifiers of similar value to see if it feels like they are about equal in value. You should develop a sense for it after a while, and you can always bounce your ideas off the community if you're stuck.
