Search-Fu failure: gun / firearms design spreadsheet?
Greetings, all!
I remember some of the design-a-gun threads mentioned a GURPS firearms design spreadsheet, most likely by DouglasCole or HANS, but my search-fu is repeatedly failing me, only resulting in finds such as discussions of separate formulæ. Could anybody please point me the right way? Thanks in advance! |

This is less a firearms design spreadsheet than a tool that will help take real-world information and turn it into damage, range, wound channel modifier. You won't be able to (say) change the weight of the gun, or get Acc/Rcl stats. But you CAN change the barrel length for a given projectile, or change the bullet itself, etc.

Re: Search-Fu failure: gun / firearms design spreadsheet?
Thanks!
I was actually looking for the relation between RoF and MinST & EWt, among other things. Nonetheless, it's nice to see this crunch under the hood, even if it only allows minor experiments. |

The weapon design rules from Vehicles 2E are still largely applicable, at least for the relation betweens between calibre, damage, RoF and EWt. You'll need to figure out MinST and Rcl in comparison to other 4e guns, though.
