The crowd shouts in excitement and panic, and the car responds with more forceful thrashing. Von Galen is headed towards the scene but has to fight the crowd to get there.

The machine beneath her jerks around like it's trying to tear itself apart and dislodge her at the same time. Little wonder that the guy she kicked off it, for all his bravado, is thinking twice about hopping back on. Von Galen pauses to see what he decides. Ryuki is scanning the crowd but mostly trying to analyze Von Galen and Phaeton. Quote:

Re: In Nomine: the Pacific War (IC)
Kane gets a coil of rope from nearby, and begins to approach the vehicle with regular steps, confidence in every stride. His eyes meet Sunae's for a minute.
She's trying. But she doesn't know how to ride this thing. I do. If she knows to get clear ... He hums as he gets closer, trying to calm the thing. Then he mouths "now" to Sunae, and moves quickly to take her place. His aim is to "ride" as Sunae was, but quietly singing the whole time, so that he can try to calm it down. If that fails, he'll try to "goat-tie" -- upend it, and secure it with the rope to anchor points that can hold it down.

Mich slides though the crowd like the serpent he is in his true form. He manages to pop out of the crowd near where Sunae lands and keeps his eyes trained on the Ethereal. Letting him slip away in the crowds would be disastrous.

Ryuki gives Cameron a thumbs up. "You do you," he says with a sunshiney smile, then leaps off the stage's edge and into the crowd. He moves towards the party, though not with the ease of a snake.

Re: In Nomine: the Pacific War (IC)
"That's it. Easy, fella." Confidence is everything in calming a horse, Kane knows, and he doesn't expect it's much different with an ethereal . He continues to sing low and gentle as he rides (Singing), all the while projecting calm and assurance (Emote) while still keeping a steady hand on his mount. (Driving, especially if it can also be interpreted as riding.)
As things settle -- or even if they don't -- Kane looks for something solid and well-rooted to anchor the vehicle to, an improvised hitching post he can use once he knows it won't panic the spirit inside. (OOC: If in the course of calming the spirit, Kane uses three "artistic" skills in a row -- certainly the Singing, maybe even the Emote since it's a performance -- he'll regenerate 1 Essence.)
