Right now that are in as "rare". This means that the information provided will be included, but they will not be focused on, and they won't be integrated into the politics of the setting.

sorry, I know you put a lot of work and love into them, but thats the way the voting went. All of us who submitted stuff had stuff in that category. I had high hopes for the engineer ants and through the Melnat out there almost as an afterthought. Guess which one made it?

Its a principle I picked up on a 'how to write' podcast: sometimes you have to hold back on the ideas you love.

(Truth be told, Its still a massive project, and help on writing up stuff would be appreciated)

I think I've sorted out most of the stuff. A lot of this will be left in the raw, but I think I've sorted out enough. The hyperspace was the real curve ball --- everything else is fairly straightforward.

I think I'm still going to need a descriptions of some elements:

What typical ship battle tactics look like
Exact numbers for force fields
What a typical space port looks like
What a typical soldiers and policeman look like

In other news, I'm thinking of running a short game in the PbP forum as a playtest. The setting will be VUASO, of course. We could run anything, but the ones I'm leaning towards are:

a hunt for a precursor artifact
chasing down a pirate menacing a region
Protect a dignitary against a series of assasination attempts

If you are interested, please PM me, letting me know which game you would prefer. I know this would normally go on the PbP forum, but I think the announcement deserves to be made here: lots of people had input on this project, and this game is for ironing out kinks.
