DR of a werewolf eyeball
According to the Monsters book, Werewolves have a DR of 15 against non-silver sources.
Does that include the eyes? |

Re: DR of a werewolf eyeball
Yeah. With natural DR (thick scales, etc), such a critter needs the Nictitating Membrane advantage to protect their eyeballs. However with supernatural DR (i.e. werewolf resistance to non-silver attacks), it is safe to assume that this covers the whole body unless the description clearly indicates otherwise.

Re: DR of a werewolf eyeball
It's rather interesting whether or not a werewolf would flinch though if struck in the face/eyes. Despite them having the supernatural DR of 15, should any damage penetrate that those structures are still quite very delicate.
After all, getting stabbed in the eye with a regular iron spear that does 16 damage will put 1(x2=2) damage on the eye which ain't good for the eye. It's more of a 'how to I run this monster in a fight' and there's some reward to giving the PC's fighting the beast a flinch from the beast if they take the effort to make a shot to the eyes. Regardless of if does damage, there's something to the elation of seeing the monster pause with an arrow to the eye followed by the dread as it pulls it out and casts it aside, unharmed by the strike. |

Re: DR of a werewolf eyeball
Ooooh, that is super cool. I like that a lot. And good points--a spear or sword thrust to the eye or an arrow from a strong scout with an Elven bow and Strongbow (doing 2d of damage) has a good chance of doing some real damage. And so the werewolf should flinch. And then pull it out and with a wicked snarl/smile.
