automatically defeat vs potion of cowardice
Sorry still confused after reading posts. If a level 9 player A automatically defeats hydrogen dragon with a fire item to win the game can player B play potion of cowardice to force Run Away or is combat automatically over and potion has nothing to play against?

Re: automatically defeat vs potion of cowardice
You cannot force someone to Run Away from a monster they have already killed -- but you have a reasonable time to find another way to keep them from winning the game, which pretty has to include costing them a level at that point.

Re: automatically defeat vs potion of cowardice
If they could play a Wandering Monster, followed by playing Potion of Cowardice, that would work too. You get no spoils from the combat if you Run Away, even from monsters you automatically defeated.

Re: automatically defeat vs potion of cowardice
thanks, just wasn't sure how "automatically" automatically was since there is reasonable amount of time in play to change things and the potion says even if you were able to defeat it you run away.
