Munchkin #25
I don't normally post pure hype messages here, but issue #25 of the Munchkin comic comes out later this month and I'm REALLY proud of it (not least because I wrote the whole thing). We just got our advance copies and they did a variant cover -- which I didn't know about -- so I'm pretty stoked right now.
The stories are "Ecology of the Gazebo" and "Brownian Motion" (starring Spyke, Flower, and Moop). If you haven't been getting the comic at your Friendly Local Comic Store, and you're at all interested, please put in a preorder. I'd love to hear what you think!

Re: Munchkin #25
Well, I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, this was one of the very few comics that I could regularly share with my kids (others were either age inappropriate, or I just couldn't get the kids interested), so losing it is a bummer.
On the other hand, I probably need to cut back my comics purchases somewhat at this time for financial reasons, so this is good timing. On the third hand, that means there will be one last bookmark offer that I won't be able to gang with others to make the shipping and handling worth it, so that's a bummer. On the fourth hand, the quality of the humor has been inconsistent, IMHO. Though my kids always enjoy them, there have been some issues where I felt let down. So maybe a break could help refresh things a bit. |

Re: Munchkin #25
Are y'all thinking of releasing 1-25 in a single, bound compilation?

Re: Munchkin #25
Boom has been releasing four-issue compilation volumes and intends to have six, all told. The sixth one will probably have to omit one or two stories to fit their page count, unfortunately.
