The Berserker's Blade
This fine sword was the favorite possession of a mighty warrior, he was so possessed of it that he continues to posses it, even after his death.
When the wielder is surprised, or shocked (wounded for -2 DX on next action) or otherwise under unusual stress in combat they need to win a contest of IQ against the IQ 8 ghost or go berserk. While the ghost is in control its sword attacks can wound creatures only harmed by magical weapons or creatures.

Re: The Berserker's Blade
This is a neat idea.
I like unique items like this that don't call for a new set of rules or complications. Just: "Here's one thing, and here's how it works". Short, sweet and thematic! |

Re: The Berserker's Blade
Give the sword a higher IQ for more hijinks.
"What the hell, dude? Why is your sword in my leg?"

Re: The Berserker's Blade
Why would any of that transfer? Now if a wizard got involved and enchanted the sword w/ a variant of the POSSESSION spell, then it's all on the table.
