Is there a melee version of these things where shoves could be an issue?
That question seems meaningless. You could maybe shove somebody with a foam sword or something, I guess?

The CAW has RoF 10, and the drones have fairly high skill. So between the skill, RoF bonus, and attached compensator, they almost always hit more than once.

Edit: As for not blowing through people, that does happen, a lot, despite the player's assurances that she's a pacifist. Sometimes though the hit location table has the rounds impacting the torso, in which case DR50-something is enough to protect.

Note, say 5 bullets all hit for 10 damage a piece. You don't calculate knock back for 50 damage...but for 10 damage 5 times.

Yea, but that’s way less entertaining. Who doesn’t love tossing bad guys for first downs all the time?!

(NB: American football reference to first downs means 10 yards)

I can imagine some movie like games where bullets can toss people around regardless of how patently unrealistic that is.

(So that's what first down means. I never knew, not knowing anything about football and never thinking to "Google".)

Of course, being knocked back two yards five times in one second isn't really that different from being knocked back ten yards.

Not sure I'd do it that way either...

I'm thinking about some manner of using "More Hands Makes Lighter" work type rules, adapting the way ST works when multiple people are lifting something together (multiple projectiles don't add knockback additively, but in some other "cumulative" fashion).

Once prone you can't actually be knocked down again (unless you are Chumbawumba).

You can't be knocked down, but you can be knocked back.

Where? Into a Wile E. Coyote shaped crater?
