[UT] Mid-weight TL11 Battlesuit
Hi all. I'm currently fiddling around with Ultra-Tech gear (again), trying to make a loadout for battlesuited jump-troopers. The Nuclear Jetpack is TL11 and can lift about 600 pounds, so the soldiers need an armor in the range of 100-250 pounds or so. At TL11, the only suitable powered armor is the Military Cybersuit, but in many ways it's weaker than the TL10 Commando Battlesuit. Sure it's more maneuverable and cheaper (50lb & $50K vs 165lb & $90K), but it has lower DR and ST bonus (80 & +10 vs 105/75 & +20).
So I'm looking to fill the gap between the 50lb Cybersuit and 500lb Dreadnought. The simplest way to do this would be to upgrade the TL10 Battlesuit to TL11. What is the best way to go about this? Simply boost DR by +50% (150/100)? Another option might be to layer a set of rigid armor on top of the Cybersuit, such as a Heavy Clamshell (giving DR 170/80) or Combat Hardsuit (DR 180/140). Is there another option I'm missing? |

A TL11 suit would be DR140/100 with Lifting/Striking ST +20 and Super Jump 3. Adjust accessories as seems reasonable.
