Problem is that the listed untalented rolls are challenging for a balanced fighter and trivial for the Goblin Sorceress. If you raise the dice across the board then you make things impossible for him long before you get to difficult for her.

Answer must be that there is something about her that raises her difficulty, hence the Ivory Tower rule.

ProTip: If you don't like this material as presented, don't use it.

If you like it as it is presented, use it.

If you want to make it a disadvantage, do so.
