Excited Newbie!
Hi.
A couple of questions from an excited newbie. Can one curse a monster or are curses only meant for player characters? When another player helps you in combat via a one-shot card or some other way but not directly in the fight, do you have to give them some rewards to? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Excited Newbie!
Welcome to the fun!
Curses are only played on players, never on Monsters. For reference, this is covered in the rules on p. 5, under "Curses," which says, "[If acquired any way other than Kicking Down the Door], Curse cards go into your hand and may be played on any player at any time." For your other question: Playing a one-shot does not make someone a helper and not immediately eligible to receive any of the rewards from the combat. That doesn't mean he can't request something from the player(s) in combat, but what he must receive is something that can be played on him e.g., a GUAL) or traded to him (i.e., an Item that a player already had or has put into play). If, for some reason, the Treasure is all cards that can't be played on another player or given to another player, then only an actual helper, a player who joins the combat and adds his Level and permanent combat bonuses to the combat, is eligible to receive them. In the future, please keep it to one question per thread, or perhaps a small number of related questions, preferably with descriptive titles. It helps both regular members and we moderators to find past rulings when searching. Again, welcome to the fun! |
