Default Munchkin Zombies KoM

I just got my MZ KoM from W23 today and i checked out the 2 cards that come with it and i have a question about the TRISKAIDEKAPHILIA card. The card says that side immediately wins the combat, i'm wondering if that can be the winning level? Thanks in advance.

Of course. The rule is that you must win the game by defeating a monster, and that's what this card allows you to do (if played on your side of a combat).

do you immediately win the combat because the card dictates you killed the monster, or do you immediately win the combat because the card beats the monster?

I know you're not supposed to quote the full text of the card, so i tried to avoid that. Basically is says when either a munchkin or monster is at a combat strength of 13, you play this card and that side automatically wins the combat.

I've found most cards indicate wether a play like this can or can not be the winning level.

the rule is that you win the game by killing a monster, not defeating it correct?

The card says "that side immediately wins the combat." The victory is good for both munchkin or monster, whichever has a combat strength of 13 when the card is played.

I was quoting Rev, he said you win the game by defeating a monster and i was asking if the correction should be "By killing a monster" not just defeating

Killing is a type of defeat, so if you killed it, you defeated it. Let's not play confusing word games right now.

It is the intention of this card is to make one side the winner of the combat, and if the Munchkins win, they are going to kill the Monsters, which means they get Levels and Treasure. If there were any restrictions on the cards usage, or if no Levels were gained, the card would explicitly call this out, but since the card provides no special rules about what this victory means, we have to consider the general rules and the most common outcome of the munchkin side winning: Monster death.

So is that the same for the monster side winning death?

I'm sorry i didnt mean to create a confusion on the words.

I was just asking if that meant defeating a monster by other means, charm, taming... So thats why i wanted to clarify "Winning by Killing" not just by defeating

Not according to the rules. When the monsters win, the munchkins lose, and when the munchkins lose, they have to Run Away.
