Number of Players
Hey guys! I've recently gotten into this game and have gotten my friends addicted to it as well and we all LOVE IT!!! Was thinking about more efficient ways of playing the game and was wondering if there is a way to play with more than 6 people if you have more of the expansions? I currently own Munchkin Deluxe, Munchkin 2: Unnatural Axe, and The Guild Booster pack.

Re: Number of Players
You can play with more players, but it's my experience that games with more than seven players really bog down. If you have eight or more, it's probably best to split into two groups and play different sets.

Re: Number of Players
I'll agree with Andrew that more than 7 players makes the game take a long time waiting for everyone to go, but if you have a good group then it can also be a lot of fun. One of my favorite games was 11 (or was it 13?) people, with 3 level 9 clerics tying for the win when Divine Intervention was drawn.
Of course, the game took like 2-3 hours, but it was fun...

Re: Number of Players
I find it frankly amazing that a game with a double digit number of players ONLY took 2-3 hours. :-)

And for the record, I ran a 4-player game that took under an hour this past weekend...

Re: Number of Players
It still boggles my mind. For 12 players, in a 3 hour game, each player only gets 15-minutes of turn time in the whole game! I would think that, with that number of people working against anybody going for the win, a game taking well over 15 turns would be expected, which means less than a minute for each turn!
That sounds too stressful to me, and I consider myself to be an experienced player. But different folks have different play styles, of course. |

Re: Number of Players
I've played two 3-player games in an hour and a half (total). My munchkin group tends to not pay attention and gets sidetracked sometimes, though.
