Default speaking of car wars thoughts.

Wensday at some odd hour of the morning or night I was going though the area where the Convoy run took place and it was funny that I thought about that book when I seen the name of the towns that I drove though at night no less.
I was also in Macon today so I can say I was at the home of the Macon duel arena also. I am coming home from a race in gainsville, Fl right now and stopping to drive the Tail of the dragon tommorow.

Be careful driving the Tail. I've seen some scary videos.

In a couple of the videos it looked like the riders just vanished into thin air.

I actually had the same thoughts when I was driving from Indy down to Nashville last August - I was at a couple of points recalling portions of the Convoy adventure. Even debated about taking a couple of pictures. :)

I stayed the night in Bowling Green on my way from Dallas, TX to Portland, Maine last month. I've driven that section of highways maybe 6 or 8 times now (2011 to present) and i ALWAYS think of Convoy. Seeing the terrain, like ditches, rocks, trees and bridges helps to think up good stuff for players to run into (literally!) when I'm GM-ing that module.

It always takes me less than 13 hours from Lexington to Memphis... but then again no-one is shooting at me!

Luckily I haven't failed any of my Control Rolls going 80+mph through there.

I never did the Convoy run.

I guess I need to find a copy since I live here in Bowling Green.
Then I could shoot some pics and post them.

What route do they take through BG?

All the locations are just waypoints, the module doesn't go into detail about the routes through settlements.

What ever the main drag from indy to Nashville is the one I took including driving past the corvette place. The dragon was very cool and kinda of scary for sure. Why anyone would want to drive a big rv or tow a trailer though it is beyond me. I have some photos posted on a Facebook page at Otaku photography if you want to see them.
