Default Pirate class + Rawk: Nice chest!

The Rawk: Nice chest! card in Munchkin Booty allows the player to immediately draw 3 cards. The pirate class allows the pirate to draw the top discard instead of looting the room. Does this mean that the pirate can play this card every turn (assuming he can loot the room that turn), draw three treasures, then pick the nice chest back up?

What you've described is fairly accurate, EXCEPT for the last step. The pirate can't pick it back up after using it, because he's no longer looting the room.

My gaming group has seen this happen several times. Once when only one person was a pirate, and another time when several people were pirates. The quickest way to stop the cycle is for someone to cash in treasure cards for a level, or drop a curse on someone to make them loose an item.

Yes but not quite.

The Rawk! Nice Chest! card requires that you play it immediately. So you would pick it off the discard pile during the Loot The Room phase, immediately discard it for three treasures, then move on to the Charity phase. Thus the other players would have an entire round of play to bury the Rawk! Nice Chest! card before you could draw it again.

It's not like a Go Up A Level card where you can play the card, immediately draw it from the discard pile, and hold it in your hand until your next turn.

Do you need to play the card immediately? Or does it say to immediately draw three cards as soon as you play the card. The card doesn't seem to force you to play it like Divine intervention does.

You play it IMMEDIATELY, just like the card says.
