When you've got more good stuff to give out, but don't want to overwhelm the backer with seven miles of scrolling, the SJG practice being followed here definitely falls under BKM (Best Known Methods) for many reasons.

Hopefully a GM's screen will be one of the next goals.

Re: The Fantasy Trip Live on Kickstarter Now!
I notice a lot of the stretch goals are soft (a web article) rather than hard (a printed piece of material).
They will all cost money to produce obviously, but hard ones are more expensive to produce. I guess it's a fine balancing act but it makes sense, even though we want as much as we can get. I'd much rather see SJG make a nice healthy profit rather than just break even as this will help fund future work. |

Only $43 from Death Test II!
But I am angry at DTII at the moment. I just tried running a group through it from DT, and their tank got hit for triple damage (total of 30) in the very first room. The other three were beat up badly, and didn't survive room 2. |

Re: The Fantasy Trip Live on Kickstarter Now!
And, DT II is ours! Nice! Next, I hope to see the GM Screen show up in a goal or two (in the meantime, the next two look good to me!)
You know, we might even hit $100K tonight. That would be very nice! Last edited by JLV; 07-24-2018 at 07:10 PM. |

Wouldn’t SJ Games love to make a video showing Steve sitting behind a TFT screen while running a demo of a roleplaying session or even some online games a la Critical Role? Or is a screen really that expensive to print that I don’t realize how costly it is to produce them? I promise not to be a grumpy complainer if you explain what it would take to get a screen. Thank you!

Re: The Fantasy Trip Live on Kickstarter Now!
Its not so much the cost of production, the shipping seems to be thing that hurts SJG in less predictable ways.

Re: The Fantasy Trip Live on Kickstarter Now!
Without wanting to put a hex on the KS, we're just two days into it and normal projections would indicate we're going to go way, way, further than $110k. Remember, 1/3 of a typical KS comes in the final 48 hours. I think we'll get a screen.
