Happy Halloween! Cthulhoid creatures for 4e

Some of these aren't really that interesting from a game perspective, like Cthulhu's ability to preserve the rest of his race. It does mean that the regular members of the race don't have a natural way of surviving when the stars are wrong but need Cthulhu's help or the ability to cast the same spells.

It could be that Cthulhu's offspring are all merely psychic constructs; like an Ally Group or even the result of Duplication (psychic Thoughtform) which require a certain amount of maintenance to survive.

I had another thought about Cthulhu.

Looking at Gurps Voodoo the gods or higher powers seem to have three levels of appearance in the world; small, medium and large if you will.

Wouldn't be awful if Cthulhu could change his size to around six feet, ad even be your best friend until you find out otherwise?

What would be the stats of a 6 ft Cthulhu?

There are a few articles and web pages that you can find with a Google search, though none of them (AFAIK) have as much stuff as you can find in this thread. There is an old Pyramid article for converting CoC stats to (3E) GURPS, and Thastygliax had a nice page on a 4E campaign in the Mythos. You can try to find a copy of CthulhuPunk in the secondhand market, though the asking prices tend to be kinda high.

Here ya go. Some 3E stuff in there, too, but I think he converted most of it over to 4E.
