Default JTAS Archive seemingly available from FFE

So, yeah, it looks like the JTAS Archive is seemingly available at FFE website, (link below) as "GURPS JTAS ONLINE (SJG)"

http://traveller5.net/Shop-List%2005%20Periodicals.html

I ordered, will report if/when the CD arrives.

Nice. I picked it up on USB stick as part of the Grognard kickstarter last year. I'm not sure what took Marc so long to get it on CD-ROM, but I'm glad to see it's finally out. At $35 it's probably one of the best steals for Traveller, GURPS Traveller, or even just GURPS Sci-Fi/Space.

Note that they also do a 443 (four for three) deal on the CD-Roms, so you can pick up all three of the GURPS Traveller CD's and get any other CD in the catalog as a freebie.

That reminds me that I still haven't received my Grognard USB stick. I should write again to ask about that.

Me neither; I thought it had just been delayed. (Those JTAS files were a mess, I'm sure, and I wondered how they'd ever get usably organized.)

I got mine either late last year or in January. I posted some fixed index files for the archive, since Marc Miller had some weird formatting going with the indexes. There were still issues with corrupted image files, misdirected file links, etc. However you should have gotten the USB thumb drive and an e-mail for a download link a long time ago if you were part of the Kickstarter.

Update on this: haven't heard anything from them, wonder if my money was just taken and no item is going to be sent to me, contacted them today (again).

I finally got my Kickstarter package:
  • the Grognard book
  • the USB stick with the JTAS archives and more
  • playing cards with pictures of Loren and Marc
Since I contributed to JTAS, I of course had to take a look at my one article. And I noticed a typo that slipped past me, the proofreader who helped Loren back then, and Loren. No, although Esalin is indeed Spinward Marches 1004, Ruby is not; it's 1005. But otherwise I'm generally pleased with what I wrote, even after the passage of 16½ years to look at it with fresh eyes.

Aand I have forgotten to update this thread. Yes, I now have the thing, it's awesome, and the alternate index provided in this forum is really better than the one provided with it.

And I now have an autograph of Marc himself... in the envelope XD
